Watched and encouraged by his mom/owner Karen Cobb, Norman has recently mastered riding his custom bike outside their home in South Carolina.  Norman took 10 weeks to learn to ride his bike, which is quicker than some children.

Already famous on the Internet, Norman has been viewed nearly two million times riding his scooter and he has even appeared on the David Letterman Show in New York and on an Animal Planet special called, ‘Who Let the Dogs Out?’.

Briard’s were originally bred in France and are noted for their companionship skills as well as their ability as guard dogs.

A heat graph, which corresponds the number of births on any given day to light and dark squares, effectively shows how American birthdays rate against each other.  Using Harvard University data, the graph shows September 16 as the most common birthday in the U.S., while December 25 and February 29 are the least common.  Possibly confirming suspicions we have long held about conception trends, September is nine months after the holiday season.

The graph, which shows every day of the year, from January 1 to December 31, along with a ranking based on how many babies were born in the U.S. on that date, was made from data taken between 1973 and 1999.

Here is a true insider’s view of what it is and what it was like to work in the Porn industry during the 80’s towards what is hailed as the Golden Age of Porn with the rising talent (no real puns intended) of the time.

Barbara Nitke is a noted New York City art photographer who specializes in the subject of human sexual relations. She has worked extensively in the Porn and BDSM communities. Barbara currently works as a fashion/art photographer, and is on the faculty board of the School of Visual Arts in New York.

American Ecstasy is not about a bunch of glow stick warriors who are all messed up on E (the drug better known as Ecstasy) and M.D.M.A. while having sex like fornicating feral bunnies. This is actually a memoir in images and words of Barbara’s hardcore porn days. With a bit of help from Netizens generosity it will be a rolling success, as she is asking for donations to help make her book a reality, mainly since no one was brave enough to attempt its publication with mainstream publishers.

The art in pain is what makes it such a curious subject; her previous offering called a Kiss of Fire: A Romantic View of Sadomasochism stirred up a fair bit of attention and added a nice almost softer view of the BDSM scene. Her latest book; American Ecstasy, follows Barbara’s hardcore porn shoots in New York over the course of twelve years from 1982-1991. In Barbara’s own words “My images reveal the contradictions inherent in the business – great beauty, tinged with sadness, punctuated by surreal silliness.” This statement alone should prompt anyone with a bit of curiosity and a flair for taboo subjects to take a peek and enjoy the human and sensual side of a world that is closed off to many people.

American Ecstasy is a hardcover book, filled with over 160 pages, of which 70 are color plates along with a selection of her written stories of life on the movie sets and short passages from recorded interviews that Barbara conducted with the porn stars at the time. The book includes images and shots of Ron Jeremy, Vanessa del Rio, Nina Hartley, Sharon Kane, Tasha Voux, and so many more.  There are also directors which include Henri Pachard, Candida Royalle, Lasse Braun and many others.

The book is concluded with a critical essay written by Arthur C. Danto, J. Professor of Philosophy at Columbia University and former art critic for The Nation, which should prove to be quite interesting, the all-around D.I.Y (Do it yourself) attitude is what really sells the book and idea. This is especially poignant when the subject matter deals with something that even sexually, seems to be still taboo with lots of people and almost shunned.

9:27 AM PST- TMZ states that Donna died from lung cancer.  Several sources are saying Donna believed she contracted it by inhaling toxic particles after the 9/11 attack in New York City.

9:35 AM PST- Donna’s family just released a statement, claiming, they “are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.”

MailOnline — Hot Stuff singer Donna Summer is understood to have died this morning after a battle with cancer at 63.  The star, known as the Queen of Disco, passed away in Florida, according to TMZ.   Sources say she had attempted to keep the extent of her illness from fans and was recently trying to finish up her latest album.  The news has not yet been confirmed by her spokesperson.

Summers, real name LaDonna Gaines, is best know for her string of 70s hits, including I Feel Love, Last Dance and Bad Girls.  She was a five-time Grammy Award winner and the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the US Billboard chart. She also charted four number-one singles in the United States within a thirteen-month period.

Summers married actor Helmuth Sommer in 1973 before giving birth to the couple’s daughter Mimi later that year.

Although the marriage crumbled in 1975, she kept an altered version of her ex’s surname to use as her stage name. She married Brooklyn Dreams musician Bruce Sudano in 1980 and the couple went on to have two daughters, Brooklyn, born in 1981 and Amanda the following year.

As well has staggering career highs, Summer also endured personal lows. She suffered serious depression in the wake of September 11.  Friends eventually intervened and the born-again Christian also found strength in her faith.

MailOnline — A 49-year-old woman could face 90 days in jail after strolling through a lumber store with no clothes on.   Barbara Lafleur, of Saratoga Springs, New York, no doubt shocked customers as she traipsed through the aisles and told an employee to ‘have a good day’ and asked for the time on Tuesday.

LaFleur has brushed off the incident, however, insisting it is her right to walk freely in the nude as a form of ‘self-expression’.  A photo of the incident at Curtis Lumber, obtained by TimesUnion.com, was shared on Facebook later in the day and instantly swept the web.

Police received a call after the woman was seen again in the nude at nearby Stewart’s Shop along Route 67, where she was approached by a manager who asked if she was aware she was naked.  But by the time police came to arrest her, she already had clothes on.

Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy said LaFleur is charged with misdemeanor public lewdness.  Murphy said in a statement:

‘While the defendant claimed she was merely expressing her freedom to be fully liberated by walking nude into Stewart’s and Curtis Lumber, this alleged conduct is actually a crime under the penal law.

Surprisingly, mental health found no psychiatric issues whatsoever.’

Lafleur was released pending a future court appearance in Ballston Spa, Times Union reports.
