A number of high school students in Dallas, Texas, are speaking out in defense of a Spanish teacher whose job might be in serious jeopardy after her Playboy past was recently brought to light…
During her “Coed of the Month” photo shoot back in February of 2011, Cristy Nicole Deweese openly admitted to her Playboy interviewers that she was going to be a Spanish teacher someday.
That someday came two short years later when Deweese, now 21, was hired to teach Spanish at the Rosie M. Collins Sorrells School of Education and Social Services at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center in Dallas.
But her past as a nude model and sometimes lesbian sex scene simulator soon caught up with her, which unduly prompted suggestions that her past behavior was unbecoming of a school teacher.
Debbie Ratcliffe the spokeswoman for the Texas Education Agency said:
“It wasn’t an illegal activity, but it raises the question about whether that action violated the Educators’ Code of Ethics.”
Neither the school district nor the school have issued an official statement on the matter, some parents have however come forward to express their concern that Deweese’s students would now be unable to look at her “without picturing her nude.”
Several of Deweese’s students have taken to social networks to stand by their teacher, asking naysayers to leave her alone. “She’s a teacher now, not a Playboy model anymore,” said one of her students said on the social media platform Twitter.
