Michele Grasso, an Italian drug fugitive has been arrested after posting telling pictures of himself at Madame Tussauds in London to his Facebook page. I have been to that museum and took plenty of flicks, but if I was a wanted man I would NOT be taking photos and posting them to my open Facebook page! What an idiot! Take a look at the photos that got him caught and the details here…
Michele Grasso made a stupid move when he took a photo with a wax imitation of Barack Obama in Madame Tussauds in London on his open Facebook profile. He had been working as a waiter in London after fleeing Italy four years ago – and had also put images of himself online at Silverstone, the London Eye and at the Ministry of Sound nightclub.
Michele Grasso, 27, was caught out after authorities in his homeland spotted the pictures and had him arrested. He fled his hometown of Taormina, Sicily, and had been a wanted man since 2008.
Police were able to work out where Grasso was after he posted pictures of the restaurant where he worked in Woodford Green, London. Metropolitan Police officers arrested him after Italian Police alerted Interpol and tipped them off. After being flown back to his homeland he is now being held at Regina Coeli prison in Rome.
On his Facebook profile he Grasso said he lived in Alcatraz. The most recent pictures he uploaded from his time in England were on January 23 in Waltham Abbey.
While visiting Madame Tussauds he also posed next to waxwork models of David Cameron, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pele and Adolf Hitler. In 2010 he posted pictures of himself in the snow in England and wrote:
‘Fantastic! Have you seen how beautiful it is here with the snow?’
