Married teacher Jennifer Smith has pleaded guilty to sending four students graphic pictures of her naked breasts and vagina before asking them for sex. In convicting Jennifer Smith, 29, from Steel Valley High School, in Munhall, Pennsylvania, the judge ordered her to spend the next five years on probation. She has lost her teaching certificate, must register as a sex offender, and avoid contact with anyone under the age of 18, a judge ordered. In court, Smith expressed remorse for her actions, but it did not reduce her punishment for ‘sexting’ a 15 and 16-year-old and two 18-year-olds.
Smith sent the youngest boy the lewd shots in the morning of April last year, according to the criminal complaint. She also asked him to send her a picture of his penis, which he did. Before, she had texted him to say she was ‘thinking about him and missed him and that he looked sexy at baseball practice’, according to the complaint.
The complaint also stated Smith then sent him a text saying she ‘wanted to perform oral sex on him after school in her class and have sex with him over her desk.’
Smith allegedly sent the seedy pictures to several other students, including the 16-year-old. He began receiving Facebook messages from Smith in April, the complaint stated. He ignored them at first but in the end he responded.
The messages, casual at first, quickly turned to the subject of smoking weed, which Smith referred to as a ‘stress reliever’ and drinking. The teen told Smith he had some weed and she invited him over to smoke it with her. She also asked him to come to her house for sex, according to the complaint.
The teen, who gave Smith his cellphone number, also engaged in several sexually charged text message exchanges with the teacher. He sent her one saying he was laying down watching basketball and asked if she wanted to join him.
Smith replied:
‘that would be nice…i’m home alone
’
The teen then ask if ‘he could come?’ Smith replied:
‘I wish
Another student told investigators Smith had asked him to come to her house to have sex and drink alcohol with her ‘seven to eight times’ via Facebook messages.’ She had asked for his cellphone number, but he told police he didn’t feel comfortable talking to a married woman. She was also sexting other boys including smiley, winking faces in the messages, according to the complaint. One teen told investigators:
‘She would tell students that “my husband is never home, I am so lonely and haven’t had sex forever.”‘
She pleaded guilty before Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Donna Jo McDaniel to corruption of minors, solicitation of sex acts, solicitation of child pornography, unlawful contact with a minor and endangering the welfare of children.
