Copyrights and images from Marilyn Monroe’s first photo shoot are hitting the auction block. A bankruptcy judge in Florida ruled earlier this week that photos taken in 1946 of Norma Jeane Dougherty (Marilyn Monroe) will be sold at auction to settle the debts of the photographer. See the exclusive photos below…
Joseph Jasgur’s photos, negatives and image copyrights will be sold in December by Julien’s Auctions. The collection also includes several model-release forms Miss Dougherty signed for Mr Jasgur in Hollywood.
The photos include a black-and-white headshot of the future Ms Monroe wearing a jaunty beret, another of her in a halter top and a colour picture of her smiling in a striped bikini on the sand.
Mr Julien said Mr Jasgur was hired by the Blue Book modeling agency to shoot the then-unknown Norma Jeane.

October 1st, 2011 at 11:53 amI just wanted to say I am and alway will be proud of Norma Jean & how she didn’t want to take any s–t from anyone. I also believe she was murdered with a supposatory-saw on detective show. All those female entertainers out there who just wanted love & attention & most of them got it the others like Norma Jean who were to nieve God knows what happened & they took it to their grave. She will always be an insperation. Isnt it somethin though how the men ran those “outfits” changed whoevers name they wanted to and got all the credit. Something things never I wish I was alive to get to see her in person. God Bless you dear, & we will always remember it wasnt your fault.
